Over the years Michael Jackson’s name has been used by many consumer brands to promote various products all across the world, one of the most famous being the Pepsi commercials. Now electronics giant Samsung wants to get into the game as well, when it recently announced that a new version of its Samsung S2 Portable hard drive will come pre-loaded with the recent Michael Jackson movie “This Is It”. This movie was shown late last year in cinemas worldwide & it chronicles behind-the-scene preparations for Michael Jackson’s final music tour, but which never happened because of the star’s untimely death.

Samsung Electronics’s VP of storage marketing H.S. Lee said in a statement that they were “excited to present this movie starring Michael Jackson, the greatest entertainer of all time, pre-loaded on the Samsung S2 Portable.”

These special pre-loaded drives will launch in Europe this month on February 22, 2010 & it will offer 500 GB of storage capacity running off bus power on a USB 2.0 interface. However at the moment, Samsung has yet to announce the price for this special hard drive & has also not determined whether it would be sold in other countries as well.
