The hellish relationship between the Apple iPhone and Windows 7 has been resolved, ending a short but terrifying span of time for owners of a late Windows PC and the most popular handset currently on the market.
Further details about the difficulty with some Intel chipsets was narrowed down by motherboard manufacturer Gigabyte to the Intel P55 Express chipset. This particular chipset was not allowing enough power through to the iPhone to allow it to sync. An early BIOS update has been released by Gigabyte to resolve the issue and ASUS and MSI, two other manufacturers who have discovered the issue, are expected to follow suit soon.
