If you’ve got a few minutes to spare take a listen to the audio tracks below. Included is a virtual haircut from Super Mario himself and a few more relaxing samples. All are meant to stimulate your ears in such a way as to fool you at times – ten minutes well spent if I do say so myself !
Note that you’ve got to use headphones to really enjoy these – speakers don’t do the trickery justice.

Dammit there was a sound card that came out in the early 1990’s that had a similar (or it could be the same) series of clips on a CD-ROM (dead flash for the time) to allow you to calibrate your speakers … any ideas out there?!?

its works fine when i play it through my speakers course mine arent ur average computer speakers. ive got surround sound 5.1 so thats prob why i can tell where the sound is without headphones interesting nonetheless
